An introduction to basic patchwork to include rotary cutting and ¼” seam sewing by hand or machine. The workshop will show you how to cut and piece the Disappearing Nine Patch block and then make that into a cushion or mat. There will be rotary cutting equipment available to use on the day, so if you don’t already have it, don’t worry. But please be aware that if the class is fully booked, we don’t have enough equipment to lend out to everyone, sadly.

A list of requirements will be emailed out two weeks/ten days before the day of the workshop. You will need to bring your own equipment if you have it (inc. sewing machine/general sewing kit), unless otherwise stated on the requirements list.

Our workshops are for adults (18+) only. We are not DBS checked and the workshops are not geared towards a younger audience due to the techniques and sharp equipment involved. We are sorry we cannot cater to our younger sewists at this time.

Our dog, Molly, will be in attendance at some of the workshops. Tea, coffee, and water will be available throughout the day and cake will be served in the afternoon. Lunch is not provided. Workshops start at 10am (please arrive from 9.30am), and finish at 4pm.
