Below, are some of the comments we have received from happy customers about the book

This is a version of the Takusan Tsugi quilt made by Victoria O'Leary

She has added extrasquares to make it bigger to very good effect.

Please see attached pictures of bags and Japanese Geisha Doll all made from patterns in your Easy Japanese Quilt Style book.   Congratulations, it's a lovely book.

Also, thank you for your fast and efficient mailing service. Charm packs ordered yesterday, received today - and I thought Devon was quite a distance from Essex.

Dear Julia and Anne

I had a telephone conversation with you a few weeks ago about my Momoyama bag and promised to send a picture. I made it from scraps left over from a quilt kit! I love it, and it (including the cat) is going on holiday to Turkey next week. It is a perfect size for hand luggage on the plane, touring on a coach, and will, I am sure, have lots of admirers.

Tongue in cheek! - I especially liked the few 'errors and ommisions' in the instructions - made me feel part of the process rather than just a blind follower of printed information! How about making that a unique feature of your books - miss a bit out and inform the sewer to keep their wits about them to spot the deliberate mistake! When I bought your book I was told by a fellow customer that several members of her class had it and had loved it but had some problems with the measurements etc., so I was on the lookout. I did get a 'corrected by the printer' copy, but as you may remember from my phone call I found that 2 of the 3" x 16" panels had been missed off the list.

But seriously, I love the book, everything in it is inspiring, I thoroughly enjoyed making the bag and I know I am going to love using it - which is quite something as I have more fabric bags in my wardrobe than clothes! Incidentally, I have also made the Sankaku bag which was a fascinating exercise, but not so likely to be used, for some reason. Best wishes - will keep looking at your website.

Dear Julia and Anne,

Greetings from Black River Falls , Wisconsin , USA .  I have purchased your book and I am so grateful you did it.  I, too, have a love affair with the Japanese fabrics and have often been reluctant to even cut up the fabric, because it is so beautiful.  Now I have your projects from the book to guide me in using the fabric to its full potential. I look forward to doing the projects in the book.  I only wish I were on the other side of the Atlantic Ocean , so I could get to your shop and see all your things in person.  Thank you for the website to the store.  Congratulations on an excellent book!

Sincerely,

Christine Hagen

Dear Julia and Anne What a wonderful world the Quilting world is!  I am sitting in my home in South Australia and reading an Irish Quilting magazine, Volume 1, Issue 6 and  have read your advertisement for your shop and your fabulous book "Easy Japanese Quilt Style".  A friend of mine has your book, which she lent to me, and after reading it I immediately purchased a copy for myself (in fact I bought myself a Christmas present for me).  It is just a beautiful book.  I love the Momoyama Holdall and have been lucky enough to have purchased the main fabric with the figures on it and also the fabric that you have used for handles and lining and I will just add fabric from my stash for the strip-pieced front panel.  I am piecing together the  "Tsukiyama" quilt at the moment and also collecting Japanese fabrics for the "Takusan Tsugi" quilt and cushion. In fact I am sure that I will make most of the patterns in your book.

Thank you publishing this wonderful book - hope you sell a million copies!  Is there another book in the pipeline - hope there is!

Kind regards,

Lyn St. Vincent
